    Entrance token for Sharon's Quarters for Children, a playground established in 1888 as the oldest public playground in the U. S., in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park.  Used during the period of the 1894 California Mid-Winter Exposition, presumably to keep kids occupied while their parents attended the event!  Kappen 2406, Atwood 760B.  Very scarce to

    my impression is also that they are usually found in conditions not as nice as this example.  This token still shows a considerable amount of the original Prooflike Aluminum surface. Some of the expected dings and dents, given what it was used for, and by whom.
