Very good condition original WWII German dress bayonet that is maker marked “F.W. HOLLER SOLINGEN” on the right ricasso. Right ricasso has nice original etched panel featuring an airplane with oak leaves and “Erinnerung an Meine Dienstzeit” (In Memory of My Service Time). 7 5/8” carbine style blade has original bright finish with a little graying. Edge has a few nicks and dings. Still has original leather washer at the base. Remaining metal finish is nice original bright plated with a little freckling. Black plastic grips have a good tight fit and no damage. Lock button functions fine. Original red felt insert is present. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that has nice original black paint with a little flaking, no dents. Also complete with correct original leather frog that is soft and supple with some normal wear. Stitching is mostly tight. A nice etched bayonet for your collection.
